I have been a contracted translator for GE during outages for the last 4 years. Major work for outage is simultaneous translation for GE nuclear technicians to Taiwan Power Plant (English-Chinese). My major back in University is English so I also had four year experience teaching English as second language. With education in English, I know what mistakes Chinese are likely to make translating Chinese to English. A Little Bit About Me...

I was raised as a bilingual speaker, Italian & English, and was always fascinated by the workings of language. After my discharge from the Air Force in Australia, while studying for a BA in English & History, I began teaching and tutoring in this field. I was drawn to the Linguistics aspect of my study and after comopleting a BEd degree, I went on to specialize in this subject in my MA. I now speak several languages. Although my specialty is in Secondary education, I have taught in primary elementary and at College level. I have taught and tutored students in English Lit, History, Geography, Italian, ESL, Writing and Reading.

My favorite part about teaching is the moment that something "clicks" within a child's mind.
