I have been a contracted translator for GE during outages for the last 4 years. Major work for outage is simultaneous translation for GE nuclear technicians to Taiwan Power Plant (English-Chinese). My major back in University is English so I also had four year experience teaching English as second language. With education in English, I know what mistakes Chinese are likely to make translating Chinese to English. I would like to share my learning experience with you and hope we both make progress in teaching and learning.

Because I have tutored adults, children as young as four, and all ages in between in a range of subjects, I have a very accommodating teaching style. A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching holistically. I belive strongly in differentiation, not everyone learns the same way. I belive in teaching children out themselves so that they can bulid better study habbits in all areas that they study. My favorite part about teaching is the moment that something "clicks" within a child's mind. I am a problem solver naturally so I try to lead children down a path of discovery instead of just teaching the answer. I believe this helps children gain an understanding of how things work or why they are a certain way so that they are able to apply these same processes to other problems.
I have earned two bachelor degrees, BS in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business and BA in Spanish. I have 10 years of professional experience involving customer service, Spanish translation, tutoring, and training. As an ex-patriate, I was afforded the opportunity to learn Spanish fluently and have witnessed first hand its importance in business and life today. I also have elementary age children that I assist in the everyday learning processes.
