I'm currently enrolled in Kaplan University pursuing my certification to become a Registered Dental Assistant with Extended Functions. I have completed High School and obtained my Diploma in 2014. I am currently tutoring a middle school student (8th grade) in all given subjects. I range from simple homework help to comprehension of certain subjects.
I love to interact with children. I believe that children should be involved with their school work. Hands on work and visual interactions help when certain curriculums don't sink in. My mother is a retired elementary teacher, and owing to being on 2 different tracks for some years, I practically grew up in her classroom. For a while, no summer vacation was safe! A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that my teaching style is personal and individualized. I like to make sure that I know my student as a person so that I can create a successful working relationship with them. In addition, I work diligently at getting to know what teaching methods work for them.
I have taught and tutored in the education field for over 20 years. I have taught 5th and 6th grade been a substitute teacher in Kindergarten through 12th grade. I have over 10 years of experience teaching developmental and freshmen composition courses at the college level and have also directed the composition program at Fresno Pacific University. More recently, I am working as an elementary school administrator and I continue to work at the college level by teaching professional development courses about writing to other college faculty.
