Believe in yourself, and you are half-way there!

My teaching style depends on the student. I am comfortable with trying different study methods in order to figure out why my student is having trouble with a particular subject.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. I love being able to help students feel comfortable with the material they are studying. I like to take students step-by-step through the process of finding answers to complicated questions. I am a strong believer in teaching the student to think for his or herself. If I'm asked a question, I prefer to help the student find the solution rather than simply give the answer. Through college, I learned that the best way to absorb information fast is to find patterns. I went to school at the age of 23 and graduated at the age of 29 in May 2010. Throughout that time, I worked as a machinist and labored as a father of two boys. These may not be official credentials, but the experiences of teaching my own boys and training uneducated workers has given me a depth of patience that most others lack. I am a recent graduate from the University of New Haven with a double major in Forensic Science and Chemistry.
