My comments on tutoring GED : I have a certificate to teach GED and have taught teachers how to teach the skills. Over 100 students have taken this program with me and have successfully met his/her goal of achieving a GED certificate.

I believe in humor, fun, clear organization, and associated evaluation. I believe in preparing the student for life-long learning because learning is a pleasure, not a chore.
An experienced teacher K-12, teaching reading, vocabulary, grammar, study skills, comprehension, math and science at one of St.Louis' local districts who moved on to teach at St. Louis Community College yet remains devoted to personal learning and learning projects. Because science is a "hands-on" subject, I feel it is extremely important to use demonstrations, examples that are relevant to every-day life, experiments and anything else that will help students understand the world around them.
