I have tutored many years in Calif., but have not done so since arriving in Madison, TN. I have Canadian credentials, but the JD enabled me to quickly acquire a college position in Nashville. I taught English, which is my major from the University of Western Ontario, Canada. I know I am an excellent tutor, having taken several children from D's & F's to B's and A's. I have a reputation for being a lot of fun, as I play both guitar and piano and am quick to arrange little ditties to help kids remember rules - especially grammar and punctuation.

A Little Bit About Me...

Upon completing a BS in Education (Dual Certification), I decided to go on for a MDiv in Theology. I was ordained a minister, and thus spent 40+ years teaching, counseling,and preaching. I feel that I have dedicated my whole life to teaching others. I am committed not only to religion, but enjoy teaching basic living and social skills. My wife and I have raised 2 children and I helped in their elementary school classrooms, upon occasion. Today, I help with our 5 grandchildren and assist in their classrooms at times.
I have loved teaching and working with children and youth all my life. I worked for 4 years at Easter Seal Camp, helping with people of special needs; The YMCA, as day camp counselor, and upon entering into the ministry felt that I have been teaching children, youth, and adults for the past 40+ years. I hold a Bachelors degree in fine arts with a Painting emphasis and a double minor in Sculpture and Political Science. Both were received from Middle Tennessee State University. I was a senior member of the Middle Tennessee State University Student Art Alliance. I coordinated art exhibitions and judged works also planning gallery field trips and a tour of New York City to see the major art museums. I taught a semester as student teacher for the Model United Nations course. My home is full of art books new and old.
