My comments on tutoring Organic Chemistry : Received an A- in AP Chemistry - College Course. I know Chemistry extremely well.

I am ranked 12 ou of 496 in my class. I am an Honors and AP college student. I have a 4.83 grade point average. I take eight classes a day from 5:50am - 3:00pm. I am a voluntary tutor for students after school and I have been successfully doing that for a year now. I love working with studens and I get along with all of them because they are usually around my age as well.

The best word to describe my teaching is flexible. Students learn concepts in different ways. When each quarter begins and I hold my first discussion, I always start off saying that this time is the student's time. If my teaching style does not work with everyone let me know. If they want more example problems than lecture, I tell them to tell me to change it up. Also, if there is a hard concept to understand I try to explain it in multiple ways that get the same point across, in case someone does not understand it in one way, but may in another.
The number of years teaching and tutoring is a fuzzy area. I am a graduate student and I have been a teaching assistant for about 2 years, which consists of instructing laboratory, discussion hours and office hours. I have been an intern at University of Wisconsin-Madison focusing on locating a point mutation in Salmonella enterica. I was also employed at MPI Research to do more research.
