After earning a BS in Statistics from UCSB, I worked as a substitute teacher for a year at a private school in Santa Barbara (Santa Barbara Christian School). Motivated by that positive experience, I obtained a teaching credential in Mathematics Secondary Education from UCSB, graduating as Student Teacher of the Year.
