I enjoy teaching business areas and math -- the subjects were fascinating to learn and are still a joy to explore with students. My favorite moments are "light bulb moments;" it can be frustrating to work on the same thing for a long time, but when a student looks up and finally "gets it," it doesn't matter how long it took. I enjoy working with students to develop a true foundation of understanding early in the material so we can build on it as we work into the more complex areas. As a student at Kansas State University, I am currently enrolled in the Architectural Engineering degree and I am completing my last math class as of now. I believe I would be a great candidate for this position because I have recently taken the three calculus classes and now differential equations. Also, i have an extensive background in different fields of physics which broadens of the everyday use of math as well. The combination of educational studies and day to day real life work experiences give me a unique perspective in my teaching and tutoring. I graduated cum laude from Baylor University, in May 2009, with a bachelor's in Professional Writing. My G.P.A. was 3.8 on a 4.0 scale.
