I have experience as an instructor while in the Marine Corps, and during that time I have found that I am really suited to teaching. Piano Pedagogy, as my minor, helped me learn and analyze teaching methods. I studied piano, with weekly lessons, for 15 years of my life. I then taught piano lessons. I typically taught 25 lessons per week for 18 months. I was then offered a teaching position for The Academy for Global Exploration, a college-preparatory private school that takes students on adventure travel semesters, covering their studies in various locations. For three years at Geneva College (2007-2010) I served as a math tutor, tutoring underprivileged, unmotivated, underachieving students at the local high school. Although I loved mentoring the young adults, unfortunately because of relocation back to Maine I was unable to continue the job. Finally for another 3 years I worked as a junior high and high school math tutor in high school.
