A Little Bit About Me...

I greatly enjoy working with my patients and teaching them about their diagnosis. Watching them learn and listening to their challenging questions inspires me to continue my own education as an adult. I strongly believe that each child has his/her own learning style and it is your job as a teacher/tutor to tap into that style to reach that student. I focus on children's abilities and what they can accomplish with a little encouragement or guidance. My goal is to teach the student while challenging and stimulating their mind.

While living overseas in both Ukraine and Mexico I taught ESL through a non-profit organization for 4 1/2 years. In addition to teaching beginning, intermediate, and advanced classes to students of all ages, I did extensive one on one tutoring with students, and eventually conducted all new teacher training. In Ukraine I volunteered at an orphanage where I taught Bible lessons to children who suffered with mental illnesses, learning disabilities, and other consequences of severe abuse.
