I have taught public school in the Montgomery County School System for 26 years. I retired May 2010. I have taught grades 1-6 in All subject areas. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Education in 1983 from Auburn University. I received my Master's Degree in Education from Troy State University at Montgomery in 1990. I have worked extensively with children in many areas due to the No Child left Behind Act. I have been to a Reading Academy, workshops, on the job training, and have been given title of model teacher. Having just graduated in May 2008, I feel lucky to have already experienced a wide range of instructional opportunities. Last fall, I was employed as a Teacher's Aide and Learning Lab Facilitator. Serving in these capacities have provided me with amazing opportunities to experience the "Response to Intervention" program, IEP's, inclusion classrooms, as well as one-on-one and small group tutoring.
