Reading Comprehension is one of my top subjects! As a Special Education Assistant, I strive to model a positive attitude, get a feel where each individual is academically, use certain strategies, such as asking certain kinds questions before reading to get each student actively involved in the process. This will not only help them to retain what they have read, but also, build their confidence in learning.

Social Studies and Creative Writing (English)

I am currently a Sociology student at Augsburg College. I am also pursuing a minor in Psychology. This year will be my last, so I will graduate in 2014. Also, I have taken several creative writing courses at the Loft Literary center, as well as at my College. I received a 4.0 in my courses. Also, in high school, I was always a level above in all English and composition classes.
I like to challenge people to think outside of the box. Although I know it is important to know how to take tests and write papers appropriately, I also know that showing skills that go above and beyond, is what makes a student stand out.
