This really depends on the subject, however, I like to do drills to keep basic skills sharp, and to learn new skills. Each student is different, and will need slightly adjusted methodology. I'm also very open to suggestion.
I am a few years out of high school, and I've taken several college classes. My AP knowledge spans almost every subject. I can help with almost all high school level classes and below. The various sciences are probably my best subjects, however my knowledge of Biology is fairly limited. As a Cal Poly graduate with a BS in Computer Science, I have had to master most math and computer science course material. My experience is teaching math to mostly older teens and young adults. In the professional world, I have trained all levels of employees on various computer systems (authoring, programming, operating systems, etc.). The training has taken the form of one-on-one, stand-up before a group, and creating online courses for "on your own" classes.
I believe that most subjects are not difficult to master. Most problems come from "under learning" the subject.
