Learning can be fun!

I am currently teaching English as a second language to post-secondary international students at California State University Sacramento. I teach all areas of English, including grammar, composition, reading, and listening and speaking skills. I have taught beginning English to refugees in Sacramento, as well as English as a foreign language in Guatemala and Honduras. I have taught both adults and children and love both populations of learners. I am also currently tutoring three Chinese girls with various proficiencies in English. I have worked with students from various language backgrounds including but not exclusive to Arabic, Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, Farsi, Korean, African dialects and others. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy working with children daily. I love to encourage, support and motivate them to stay focussed. I work as a TA in an SDC(Special Day Class) with students with have Autism, ADHD, ED, and Dyslexic. I teach in small groups and one-on-one settings. I use the multi-sensory approach to reach all student's needs. I like to use manipulatives, games, and educational computer games to make learning fun!
