I also took and did well on the MCAT and therefore spent time studying for the Physical Sciences (which includes Chemistry) section of the test. My favorite part about teaching is the moment of sudden understanding that you can see in a student's eyes when they've got it. The challenge, of course, is getting to that moment, especially in a subject like math or science.
