I have taught for 15 years. I began as a Preschool teacher and did that for four years. I also taught a a Charter School for at risk teens in NJ. I went overseas and taught in South Korea for four and half years, and am currently teaching in schools all over Northern Grafton County as the Education Coordinator for the Support center. I am a very dedicated teacher with a great deal of patience. I love working with and teaching children of all ages. I believe that children learn in a variety of ways and that if you give them time you will find their way so to individualize their learning so they will succeed. I believe in teaching to the student’s style of learning. If convention works use it. Picking up on a student’s interest and intergrading the educational experience is essential. In other words if a student is interested in horses, the classroom should be moved to the barn. If math is the subject in question then measuring food would be an excellent way to learn fractions. In the past I have written several programs for my sons to use to learn both math and spelling. I find the instant response from the programs was a very effective tool for them to learn. They were more willing to study as they could use the computer. As a Business Consultant over the past 20 years I have taught computer and business applications to over 50 business employees.
