I try to find out the learning style of the person I am teaching and use that as my primary teaching style. Some people learn better by hearing, some by reading or seeing and some by doing. I think focusing on the style that the person prefers to learn and then backing it up with the other styles to reinforce what they have learned is the best way for the student to retain the information. I think it is important to include all 3 styles no matter which way the person learns best because they need to be able to learn in the style their other teachers use as well.

That's the beautiful thing about math there are so many ways to learn. After understanding the person it is very easy to teach them. I am currently attending Auburn University, I have always loved to help children learn. I have volunteered many times at my church's Vacation Bible School and have been an intern for a High school English teacher.
