Although I have a BS in Elementary Education, my experience ranges from preschool to high school. I have over two years’ experience teaching preschoolers basic reading and math skills. I have seven years’ experience teaching elementary school, where I have taught many children the fundamentals of reading, writing, and arithmetic. While teaching, I tutored several students that needed help with reading, each session ending with tremendous results. In my three years of teaching middle school and high school, I taught math and history. In addition, I taught my students how to write research papers. When I graduated college I found myself wanting to help others. I began doing this by counseling youth who had substance abuse issues. For a time I also worked with the youth at a homeless shelter. Helping them with homework, ESL studies, and math skills. The youth there were a variety of ages and backgrounds, so I had to adapt my style to their needs.
