I have a relaxed, stress-free teaching style, while staying on task and topic. I make sure the pupils really understand the material by breaking things down to the basics, and reviewing the foundations. After reviewing and application of the concepts, I have my students switch roles and "teach" me the material. I believe if you can explain the material to someone else, you really understand it.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have learned a great deal about the various learning and teaching styles. I understand that some students learn better with hands-on instruction, while others are more auditory or visual learners. I truly have a passion for spreading my love of Spanish, and teaching other students the importance of the language, and all of the interesting cultural differences and similarities we have with Hispanic countries. I also have found that rather than force grammar in as a separate lesson, it is better received if taught in a practical use manner that augments a certain vocabulary list or point. Over the past five years I have worked as a Teacher/Instructor both the the legal field and in the public school setting with students diagnosed as ED and LD as well as being displaced from the normal public school setting. Even though my academic degrees are in the legal field I have stayed current in areas of Reading and Math from Basic Algebra to Geometry.
