I've been tap dancing since I was 3 years old. I tutored one of the students in my High School in his Algebra class. During the course of the tutoring, his grades on his test progressively increased. His final grade in his class was a "B." While attending college, I applied to become a Peer Tutor at Capital University. I was offered a position as part of the tutoring staff, and over the course of the two years in which I worked as a Peer Tutor, I helped a lot of Undergraduate students in all of the courses that I felt the most comfortable in, including Business Calculus, Calculus for the Biological Sciences, Geometry, Trigonometry, etc. I had many regular students during the course of the two years in which I worked as a tutor. I enjoyed helping them, and they seemed to understand the course material better over the course of the semester. I loved helping all the different students, too

I believe that all children should receive the extra help that they need. Often time in the classroom, a teacher does not have the time to give the support of the needs of each student in the classroom. Teachers and tutors should try their best to make sure they focus on individual needs of the students so that they can help them succeed. As a recent college graduate, I feel that I have received the formal training necessary to become a teacher. I have obtained a BS in Early Childhood Education. Over the past two years I have also spent time tutoring elementary school children in the subject of reading, and also spent about 3 months working one on one with various students in a nearby school district.
