I really enjoy working with students, especially at the college level, who have not experienced a great deal of success in a particular subject and aspire to do better. I believe that the key to any kind of scientific or mathematical learning is repetition. It is first important to get to the heart of the concept, and see what is holding someone back from understanding something. I enjoy teaching adults as well as high school students. I do not have much training teaching below junior high; however, I am confident that I could successfully teach math or language. Although, I don't mind the traditional classroom setting, I am quite used to instructing on a one-to-one basis. Our GED programs are completely individualized for learners to move at their own pace, and I encourage this type of teaching style when manageable.
