Experience Summary
I graduated from Ohio State in June 2011 with a BS in molecular genetics. I graduated with honors and with a GPA of 3.657. I have taken the MCAT with a score of 33 (10-BS, 12-PS, 11-V). I have never worked professionally as a tutor but I have tutored friends extensively throughout my college experience. I have an extensive background in biology, physics, chemistry, and the humanities. I am very well rounded in all subjects and would have no problem teaching any part of the MCAT, or any other educational material.
Teaching Style
I really enjoy working with students, especially at the college level, who have not experienced a great deal of success in a particular subject and aspire to do better. I believe that the key to any kind of scientific or mathematical learning is repetition. It is first important to get to the heart of the concept, and see what is holding someone back from understanding something. After that, it is all about repetition, once a student has seen many examples I have found that it will click all of a sudden.
