Political Science was the centerpiece of my studies at the University of Florida. In addition to academic experience, I have been politically active for 12 years on both the state and national levels. My academic experience covers domestic politics and internal relations. Whenever I can, I like to be very hands-on in my teaching my students. For example, once I was teaching my class about trees. I had them go outside and collect samples of bark which had fallen on the ground. Then we created a gigantic mural in my classroom and glued the pieces of bark to a tree we had drawn.
