I really enjoy teaching and watching students progress in their language studies. I understand it is sometimes difficult to learn a foreign language since I have undergone the process myself several times over. Therefore I am able to relate to my students and provide encouragement. I believe it is reassuring for them to know that once I was in the same place they are. I am patient and friendly, and I find this to be helpful in eliciting student engagement, especially when they feel shy about making mistakes.
