Piano is one of my top subjects!

I am a graduate of the University of Florida with a BM in Piano Performance. I'm going to be in Gainesville for at least 2 more years as I am working on a Master of Education degree at UF. I am passionate about teaching; I currently have two students and I would love to find more. My rates are 35$ per hour or 25$ per half hour. You should also expect to spend about 20$ on music books through amazon or a local music store, unless you already have appropriate-level literature to study from. A Little Bit About Me...

I really like working with children from low income families. I think each child has a different interest and way of learning. I try to discover these learning styles before I begin the tutoring process. I try to allow them to be comfortable and having fun during our sessions. Most of the time I do a lot of question/conversation responses to allow them to find the answer for themselves. I like a problem based learning style, even for the youngest of children. I not only want to teach them how to properly concur their learning material but how to find the information they need if they do not know the answer. I worked for Advanced Learning Centers to tutor both high school and middle school students in math. When no new math topics are of any trouble, I also aided them in working with both science and english.During my term in Colorado, I also tutored two girls for a year and half in math and english.
