Piano is one of my top subjects!

I am a graduate of the University of Florida with a BM in Piano Performance. I'm going to be in Gainesville for at least 2 more years as I am working on a Master of Education degree at UF. I am passionate about teaching; I currently have two students and I would love to find more. My rates are 35$ per hour or 25$ per half hour. The easiest way I can explain my teaching style is to begin with the fact that I have worked for Disney for the past 6 years. I always have a smile on my face, and I believe that encouragement is the basis for all true learning. Students need someone to encourage them more than feed them facts. By guiding students through new concepts and learning with them instead of for them, each student is building his or her own learning tools that are more likely to last than the tools their tutor may provide for one homework assignment and never use again. I love seeing people understand something once I explain it to them in a way that they can understand it.
