I try to target problem areas that students are having. I encourage them to ask questions and stop me when I am explaining something in order for them to understand it better. It really puts a smile on my face when I can see their frustration melt away. There is no set style that I teach it just depends on where the students strengths and weaknesses lie. I worked for a program called CalSoap (College Knowledge). The program had us working in classrooms, at a local highschool, helping the teachers with tutoring the students. I worked in an algebra 2 and geometry class as well as did lunch and after school tutoring. I also tutored 1st graders when I was in 6th grade in reading skills.
