I believe that I am in a unique position to help your students learn both physics and math. The experiences that I have had teaching various math courses and physics, I think, allow me to frame lessons that address the subjects in a way that dovetails with students’ previous knowledge, and asks and answers the essential questions that the math or physics curriculum should involve. I strive to design experiences for students to step through to shatter their preconceived notions about math and the physical universe, and get them to understand underlying relationships. I work so that students see themselves as problem solvers through techniques involving the use of their developing understanding of concepts with memorable models. I like to exploit the visualization of physics and calculus concepts available on – line and to use web – based simulators.

I truly enjoy teaching. I am very easy going and I can make subjects easy to learn. Since I have an engineering background, I have the tendency to break complex problems into smaller parts. I am easy going, energetic, very passionate (especially when teaching calculus and physics), and engaging. In most cases it takes only a few sessions and students are having fun. I believe that most students can understand mathematics with a proper explanation. For example, the order of operations is usually presented to students without explanation for its existence. This gives the false sense that it is an arbitrary rule. I enjoy sharing my understanding to students, but I also enjoy providing a role model for my students.
