Experience Summary
I strive to design experiences for students to step through to shatter their preconceived notions about math and the physical universe, and get them to understand underlying relationships. I work so that students see themselves as problem solvers through techniques involving the use of their developing understanding of concepts with memorable models. I like to exploit the visualization of physics and calculus concepts available on – line and to use web – based simulators.
Teaching Style
I believe that I am in a unique position to help your students learn both physics and math. The experiences that I have had teaching various math courses and physics, I think, allow me to frame lessons that address the subjects in a way that dovetails with students’ previous knowledge, and asks and answers the essential questions that the math or physics curriculum should involve.
