My comments on tutoring Elementary Phonics : Having taught kindergarten in the public schools for many years, I am able to effectively provide prereading and beginning reading instruction.

I believe a classroom for young children should provide a warm, accepting, and challenging environment.
I taught kindergarten in public school for twenty years. I am currently teaching in a private school setting. I teach a voluntary preschool class (VPK). In this role I help prepare my students so that they have the skills needed to be successful in kindergarten. These skills are not just academic skills. I've been a teacher's unofficial little helper since I was in Elementary, helping the students of my class that the teacher simply didn't have the extra time to help. From then on, I helped and even eventually taught my younger siblings when the current school system left them in the dust, and even helped them get a leg up and advance faster than their classmates. I've tutored a few younger kids in various subjects in my high school years, as well as occasionally teaching Taekwondo classes.
