I love "ah-ha" moments - moments when a student's brain "clicks" - moments when the student understands what operation we are trying to master. I enjoy bringing out the very best in all students. While working with students, I assess their strengths and weaknesses. Many times in math, a student will have a misconception of an operation or have no concept of an operation, I will give "real-life" examples, and a student will have an "ah-ha" moment. I love teaching and interacting with willing minds. Teaching "runs in the blood", where my mother is an excellent teacher in the Huntsville City School District, my father was a former teacher and all of my aunts and uncles functions or functioned in some teaching capacity. I believe that teaching should be made enjoyable and not laborious.
