MATH tutor - Experienced math teacher, grades 7-12 & college

I am a very energetic teacher, and I try to incorporate as much FUN into learning as I can. I believe ANY student can learn mathematics, as long as they are patient with themselves and are willing to keep trying. I like to use a wide variety of things, especially technology (graphing calculator), graphics, videos, and hands-on activities whenever I can.
I have 8 years experience teaching high school mathematics in Rutherford County, TN. I taught Pre-Calculus (3 years), Algebra I (6 years), Algebra II (3 years), Geometry (2 years), Advanced Algebra and Trigonometry (2 years), and Bridge Math (1 year). I love teaching and interacting with willing minds. Teaching "runs in the blood", where my mother is an excellent teacher in the Huntsville City School District, my father was a former teacher and all of my aunts and uncles functions or functioned in some teaching capacity. I believe that teaching should be made enjoyable and not laborious. The goal of teaching is to relate concepts and principles in such a way that a pupil is able to apply appropriately those principles in any situation that he/she may be confronted with whether in life or in a test. My joy is seeing a student excel and gain confidence in their ability to learn and to be tested on what they have learned.
