I was a tutor for 2 years in Korea and I love to see student's improvement. I took AP Microeconomics and Macro Economics in 2007 and I got 5 on both test. I took SAT Subject math2 and I made 780 on the test. I made 2010 out of 2400 on SAT1. I went to Georgia Southern University for a year as joint enrollment program. I graduated Statesboro High School in 2012 and now I’m going to college in New York. I liken tutoring sessions to the repair of a crumbling pyramid. I believe that every student is capable of learning and understanding the material that is presented to them in class, but that due to some reason, he or she does not understand some of the basic concepts that later material adds onto. I have substitute taught for over 16 years and this past year I worked with the SES program tutoring. My areas of focus are sciences and maths but I have had to tutor reading. This year I tutored middle school students but I have tutored elementary as well. I tend to focus on the high level maths and sciences often taking long term positions in high school. I started substitute teaching when I was in undergraduate school just as a source of income and because I like teaching. My mother is a retired teacher who taught for over 30 years.
