Marine Biology is one of my top subjects! I am a SCUBA diving instructor focusing on Oceanography and Marine Biology. I specialize in teaching safe and responsible scuba diving and marine conservation to children, young adults, and families. Scuba diving provides that ability to observe the aquatic environment first hand in a way not possible through textbook and classroom settings. I have over 20 years of scuba diving experience and have certified/registered over 500 students, and have many references available on request. Interactive modeling of examples, repetition, and simplifying subject matter are key components of my teaching style. Many students have difficulty relating to academic material due the lack being given time to practice example assignments. I also teach universal strategies of how to study material to fully understand assignments.
