I believe that ALL children are capable of learning. It is my responsibility to seek out those methodologies that are most compatible for the children in my care. My administrators usually placed those students who were struggling in my care. I don't believe in using just one "curriculum" but am adept at combining a variety of techniques that will best enable the children find out that they are, indeed, capable of learning! Children all learn different, which is why I believe in using direct instruction in guiding their learning. Some children are more visual learns, while others may be more auditory. Varying the levels of teaching can allow for each child's needs to be met. I feel that I am able to adapt and change what I need to teach to meet those needs. I also believe scaffolding is a key component in guiding the way a child is able to learn.
