Experience Summary
Using my English Rhetoric degree and years of classroom experience, I have developed a multitude of teaching ideas and strategies for students. I am highly experienced at developing IEPs for students. I have assisted many students to achieve grade level competency or beyond and advanced students desiring to improve English skills. I am skilled in both writing and reading instruction. Among my accolades in teaching are all students passing the 10th grade WASL first try, level 3s or above on AP tests and several of former students becoming published authors. I am also skilled in the area of basic math, and history.
Teaching Style
I expect myself to be prepared for the lesson; to research, create and discover strategies to help each student to learn. Reciprocally, I expect each student to have completed his or her work, and come prepared to learn. There is a great sense of satisfaction and accomplishment for the instructor and the student, when a pupil develops skills and begins to excel. I am patient, creative and determined to help any student to achieve.
