A Little Bit About Me...

I believe a great teacher needs to have proper skills and talents for teaching. I learned a lot while growing up from a great teacher; my mother. My mother was a teacher for thirty years teaching elementary grades. I learned a great teacher needs to be respectful, patient and to be able to illustrate the lesson in an easy, simple way. I try to provide simple analogies for each concept. This enables the student to grasp the concept easier and faster. In addition I help my students to learn better by asking few questions about the concept. This will help them to truly understand the lesson by using their analytical thinking.

As an active member of my community, in the form of pageantry, volunteering, and leadership, I have always enjoyed instructing others. The description of my teaching style changes with each new class I receive. I am a strong believer in the Multiple Intelligence approach to teaching, as individual students learn in many different ways. In my classroom, expectations are explained at the beginning of each lesson. Because attention spans only last between 12 and 15 minutes, I make sure to rotate activities to insure that my students are engaged.
