I have worked with students of all ages and in all different subject areas. I have recently completed a semester of student teaching in a kindergarten class where I worked with the students on reading and writing skills. I have also worked with older students including an adult with learning disabilities. I have taken and passed seven AP tests: Biology, Calculus, Government, English, Physics, Economics, and Spanish. I've never met a "stupid" student. I see all people as capable, as long as they are willing. I find it easy to get a student interested in a subject when they have usually been bored in class. I easily create metaphors and practical examples for application of the subject at hand so the student can personalize their studies. Once a student sees how the subject "fits" in their life, their interest level often changes.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have done private tutoring at the Missionary Training Center in Provo, UT for almost three years teaching Spanish to the senior missionary couples and Mission Presidents and their wives. I have also volunteered to tutor at a number of different elementary schools in both Provo and Colorado tutoring at the kindergarten, 1st, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade levels. I have also been a reading, writing,and math tutor to children in the Dominican Republic for a total of 4 months as a volunteer. Most recently, I have been a private SAT/ACT tutor here in Colorado. I believe that I keep gravitating back towards tutoring because I love it so much!
