I recently graduated from Brigham Young University in April 2011. I am a graduate in Communications can help in English, Writing, Editing but also took AP Calculus and AP Statistics and passed both tests. I love math but feel that communicating through writing is very important. During the last two years I have worked at an Elementary School as Para Professional tutoring children in Math and Reading both in small groups and one-on-one. I love helping children learn! Building a good relationship with a child is key to helping them learn. When good relationships are developed children can then trust the teacher or tutor to help them in whatever way possible. This relationship builds a good emotional bank account and children will do hard things when asked. I know that all children can learn. I have seen it while working with the wonderful children at the school I worked at.

I believe that each student has strengths and weaknesses and it is my job as a teacher to find these and help students expand on the strengths while overcoming the weaknesses.Each student has a unique learning style so I need to teach things in ways that the student can grasp. I especially love helping students who experience difficulty learning and watching a student light up when he/she finally understands a concept.
