My old next door neighbors have two children. One is a boy in elementary and one is a girl in middle school. I tutored the boy in reading and writing. He was able to read his first book on his own after a few weeks with me. I had to tutor the girl in math. she was taking algebra and was having a tough time with it. In two weeks of many meetings, she was able to pass her final exam. No matter what grade I was in, I always enjoyed going down to the ESE room and helping the special kids. A Little Bit About Me...

Currently, my experience with teaching has been in an online environment. In the past I have worked with staff members to provide training. In regard to children, the thought of being able to help them become successful with their reading and math skills draws me in, and I feel that my creativity and organization as well as desire to meet challenges would make me an excellent tutor.

My best trait as a tutor is that I will not give up on my student, even if they have given up on themselves. It is my belief that most concepts can be understood if taught properly, and relate the knowledge to them in a way that would make it simple. My experience working, as a project manager in construction has been a nontraditional rewarding career. I graduated from Marshall University in the field of Safety Technology. The knowledge acquired from my degree greatly enhanced my ability to perform jobs in the industry without losses due to injuries, at rate comparibly to industry standards. My experiance with children and teaching has been at the substitute level for a combined years of four, primarily middle school.
My style of teaching is relatively comparisons and having the student recognize the use of information as it is used daily. Thus, middle school math is my choice and computer science to instruct.
