I have earned my Masters Degree in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University, which combined with my Bachelors of Science Degree in Communications gives me, a strong combination to understand and relate to the needs of students. Since receiving my teaching license that has me certified to teach grades 1-8, I have worked as a tutor for middle school students and been a certified classroom substitute in the Madison and Verona school districts. I like to laugh, have fun, and create a comfortable environment for individuals to learn. It is important to have that type of space so as to ensure that students do not form a sense of anxiety when entering the room or when studying that particular subject. I love creating a variety of activities: group, individual, hands-on, problem solving, comprehension and reading, and activities where students have to get up and move around. As long as concepts and terms are rehearsed and relearned students will be able to store it better than if they learned it once and then move on to the next concept.
