My comments on tutoring Japanese : I have taken classes in Japanese speech training in a technical college. After having MA, I taught the subjects as “Speech communication”, “Intercultural communication” and “Communication and manners at hospitality industries” at several universities and nursing colleges in Japan.

I absolutely love teaching the Japanese language to students of all ages and meeting new people from all over the world. Teaching has always been a passion of mine and one of my methods of loving people. I always enjoy guiding students to not only passing tests but helping them become both competent and intuitive in the Japanese language. Helping others learn and grow is so important to me. My comments on tutoring Japanese : While not fluent in Japanese, I have taken 3 years of high school level courses and am familiar with the expectations thereof. I have passed the kanji kentei through 8th kyuu and passed 9th with a perfect score.

I aim for all tutoring to be done in the target language, but I recognize that this is unhelpful for many students. Nevertheless, I will start out only using the target language, but will switch to the students' preferred language upon request.
I have tutored 1 student privately in Spanish for 2 years, and she went from failing her class to passing both the AP and IB exams with a 5 and a 6, respectively. I have also tutored small groups in Spanish for one semester ranging from high school introductory level to AP level. I have also tutored for one semester of ASL at the college level, and one semester of Japanese at the high school introductory level.

Japanese is one of my top subjects! Japan has always been close to my heart. I am a high beginner and can tutor with the basic hiragana, katakana and very basic kanji, as well as a bit of grammar and some vocabulary.

I am currently a student at the University of South Florida, seeking a Bachelor's degree in German Studies. I have some background in International Studies, specifically with Latin America and some in the Middle East. Predominately, however, I have done foreign language studies from a young age. I began studying Japanese language, culture and custom at 14 and have a basic understanding of it. I studied German for two years in high school and went on to live as an exchange student in Northeastern Germany for one year during my Junior year. While I was there, I attended a German high school, lived with a local host family and gained near native fluency throughout the course of my time there.
