German is one of my top subjects! I lived as an exchange student in Germany for one year with a host family and went to a local German high school. I was completely immersed in the culture and learned to speak the language pretty fluently.

I am currently a student at the University of South Florida, seeking a Bachelor's degree in German Studies. I have some background in International Studies, specifically with Latin America and some in the Middle East. Predominately, however, I have done foreign language studies from a young age. I began studying Japanese language, culture and custom at 14 and have a basic understanding of it. I studied German for two years in high school and went on to live as an exchange student in Northeastern Germany for one year during my Junior year. While I was there, I attended a German high school, lived with a local host family and gained near native fluency throughout the course of my time there. Live in Germany from the age of four to sixteen. I attended a German public school so I am able to teach reading, writing, and speaking in German. Also, being that I lived in several small towns, I can help differentiate between dialects and accents. While in the Air Force, I was stationed in Germany and often helped my unit members with translations of documents written in German into English.

German is one of my top subjects! I am a native speaker of German. I have lived there from birth until age 21. I was raised bilingual as my grandmother was American, I spent much time at Mannheim BfV Elementary during my own school breaks and learned together with her class and later helped teach her classes. I currently teach this subject to my own child who is a home-schooled. I have two curriculum options available, one from grade 5 to 8 and one 9 to 12.

I like to mix between book learning, reading and if appropriate games and fun activities to break up the learning into interesting segments. But this very much depends on the student.
I lived most of my life in Germany and went to school there. I finished school with an Abitur (13 years of education) After that I started university however I met my husband and we started a family instead and I moved to Florida. Here I have been home-schooling my child and taken care of all of her educational needs.
