A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that while students may forget specifics of what they are learning, they will never forget how teachers make them feel. I also belive that the best teachers are the ones that make themselves less needed the longer they teach specific studdents. I love to bring history to live for students so I like to explain events in a story format. It is important for students to memorize facts, however, so I focus on memorization techniques and organization. Reading requires comprehension so I use a combination of techniques including reading out loud and repetitive reading. I am patient and creative, so I can usually find what works for that individual student.
