I believe that musicians are all at different points on the same curve, and that every student learns in a unique way. I am versatile in my teaching methods and flexible with the pace of students. I believe in instilling the correct skills and knowledge trumps over a period of time instead of cramming in new information at a rapid pace. I feel it is important to harbor a love of music most importantly and that music should be fun and educational. As a musician, I have taught two private students in Electric Bass, taught a master class for a high school level jazz combo, conducted a high school band for a piece I composed and arranged, and played gigs with talented musicians in the Dartmouth area. I have been performing since i was a child. Attended Julliard school of music, City colege of NY. Published two albums of my own and has recorded with a host of astist as a sideman. I am a multi-instrumentalist playing piano,bass(electric and acoustic), all percussions,composer and arranger. I have earned a bachelor of fine arts degree in music performance I love teaching students of all ages. It is very satisfying to see their eyes light up when they realize they got it. One method i use is to teach the the music that they love and apply the theory and technique to it, and gradually introduce them to more challenging works. I can improvise at a moments notice to help get the lesson across, even if it means focusing on one task at a time. My goal is to make the learning experience as pleasant as possible.

I earned my BA from Northwestern University in 2007 with a major in Philosophy. I started at Northwestern as a violin performance major at the School of Music, moving into Philosophy and later taking on public health. I came to Boston to complete the Health Careers Program at Harvard Extension School. In this program I completed two years of college science courses: a year of Physics, Inorganic and Organic Chemistry, and Biology. I taught school for four (4) years to ages kindergarten - seventh grade. I also tutored inner city children ages 5-12 for two (2) years. For the last eight (8) years I have been tutoring ages kindergarten- third grade. I took courses in psychology and children. I have a J.D. Degree, Masters Degree and Bachelor of Arts Degree. I studied foreign language and assited with children in math, reading, art, hebrew, bible study and reading. I am proficient in German and French.
