I believe that musicians are all at different points on the same curve, and that every student learns in a unique way. I am versatile in my teaching methods and flexible with the pace of students. I believe in instilling the correct skills and knowledge trumps over a period of time instead of cramming in new information at a rapid pace. I feel it is important to harbor a love of music most importantly and that music should be fun and educational. I love teaching students of all ages. It is very satisfying to see their eyes light up when they realize they got it. One method i use is to teach the the music that they love and apply the theory and technique to it, and gradually introduce them to more challenging works. I can improvise at a moments notice to help get the lesson across, even if it means focusing on one task at a time. My goal is to make the learning experience as pleasant as possible. My intention in teaching science is multifaceted: I wish impart my love of Chemistry and Biology to a new generation of adults, enforce the idea that women can be strong in the sciences equally with men, and to take joy in the practice and teaching of chemical techniques and uses in both industry and environment. Organic Chemistry awakened a perspective to Inorganic Chemistry that helped me reflect on concepts of inorganic chemistry that had previously seemed abstract and difficult. I taught school for four (4) years to ages kindergarten - seventh grade. I also tutored inner city children ages 5-12 for two (2) years. For the last eight (8) years I have been tutoring ages kindergarten- third grade. I took courses in psychology and children. I have a J.D. Degree, Masters Degree and Bachelor of Arts Degree. I studied foreign language and assited with children in math, reading, art, hebrew, bible study and reading. I am proficient in German and French.
