Literature includes all of the wonderful genres of literature. Students need to be exposed to the best of them in order to appreciate them and analyze them. For the past three years, I have been teaching Writing at Austin Community College. Prior to that I taught teachers as an online facilitator for PBS. In addition, I have been a special education teacher and coordinator and an English/Language Arts/Reading teacher in Texas, Ohio, Connecticut, and New York.
