Experience Summary
For the past three years, I have been teaching Writing at Austin Community College. Prior to that I taught teachers as an online facilitator for PBS. In addition, I have been a special education teacher and coordinator and an English/Language Arts/Reading teacher in Texas, Ohio, Connecticut, and New York.
Teaching Style
I believe that all students can learn to read and write with an approach individualized for each learner regardless of the age.
My Hobbies
I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and pets. I love to garden, swim, and create cards.

| Grammar is often considered the more boring aspect of writing. However, with all of the interactive resources that are available today through the internet, editing can even be fun! |

| Literature includes all of the wonderful genres of literature. Students need to be exposed to the best of them in order to appreciate them and analyze them. |

| I have many techniques that I have shared with students of all ages in order to help them master spelling or compensate for a disability in this area. |
| Writing |

| Writing and composition are generally the same. These can include all of the different forms of expository writing and creative writing. I have taught all of the various forms of writing, in particular the essay. |
