Critical thinking skills and untraditional ways are what I focus on. However the way someone learns, I will try to set the individual up to show how they learn and work with them. My comments on tutoring Sociology : A favorite subject.

I started out tutoring elementary students in basic math and English grammar while I attended college part time in the 1980's. I continued tutoring young students and adults in the 1990's, tutoring Basic Math, Basic and Intermediate Algebra, Basic Geometry, English Composition, Speech, Study Skills and the Sciences. In addition, tips were given to enhance test-taking skills in hard-to-Ace subjects like Economics. Not only did I have to design and tailor each class to the student's abilities and age, but I had to come up with creative ways to relay the material given the constrains on communication. As a Professional Counselor I have learned to interact with others in a very respectful, sensitive way. It is my job to lead people to conclusions without actually telling them the answer.
